Which ISP?

I'm moving house on Friday, so will be getting broadband (haven't had a connection for the last year and a half in my flat). When I last had broadband I used Pipex, but I understand they have since been bought out by Tiscali.

Who is the best ISP these days?

I am looking for no d/l caps, no packet shaping, very good uptime, great support etc.

Or if you plan to be with them for some time, ask in the big O2 thread about getting a friends and family sign up. That will give you a lower monthly charge that might provide a greater saving over the year than £20 Quidco offer.

OK I'm gonna hi-jack a thread. I used that Samknows site and found out I can get LLUs, obviously not Be/O2, but I can get these:

AOL: Enabled as of 05/11/2007
C&W / Bulldog: Enabled as of 20/05/2005
Orange: Enabled as of 01/03/2007
Sky / Easynet: Enabled as of 04/03/2007
TalkTalk (CPW): Enabled as of 16/07/2007
Tiscali: Enabled as of 09/08/2008
Tiscali TV: Enabled

Is Sky a good ISP? My borhter has them, but he's hardly a good gauge of ISP quality, he leeches from me, so I do the bulk ofdownloading so need a good lenient ISP. Do they impose lots of restrictions at all? I'm currently on ADSL24s 2MB Unlimited package, and would like to cut down cost if anything. Plus the speed problems are really grinding my gears. Sky seems pretty cheap, and even if I don't get a bundle or offer it's likely cheaper than £35 right? Any help would be great. Thanks
Dan

If you go to Quidco.com and enter your details then sign up for O2 you get £25 back. Less £5 administration.

Last month it was £70 back.

Still tracking as £70 :D

Ordered O2 yesterday, had so many texts keeping me updated with every bit of progress. Very impressed so far.

I Guess bloody Virgin Media is out of the question then! :)
If you wanted the fastest speed possible then I would recommend it, but if you want no download caps, good customer service I think Be Unlimited is for you.
