Moving into a new house tomorrow and trying to decide which fiber to go for....

Sky\BT\Virgin\Plusnet\EE etc

Are there any massive differences or is it just down to price? Any opinions would be appreciated :)

Virgin Media cable modem service if it's available. Search for the first part of the postcode on the VM forum to check for congestion before ordering.

Plusnet Fibre might be better if you need the upload speed.

i'd go with sky, i'm with virgin and the service has been poor to say the least, had more problems with this over the last year, than i did for 8 years on a very ropey copper wire service out in the sticks.

also keep in mind the issues with youtube that a lot of people have with virgin if you use it a fair bit.

there customer/tech services are no use at all.

Ive signed up with sky unlimited broadbans with 1st 6 months free then 7.50 a monthly with free sky hub.. seem goes well without problems

Im with BT Infinity 2. No throttles at peak times which is good. Also a decent price.
The included router is a bit dodgy though, seems to slow to a crawl randomly until I give it a restart. Suggest if you do go with BT, try it out and if you find the same problems, just get a better modem (shouldnt be too expensive)
