Which Joystick

This has probably been asked a few times already but a quick search hasn't helped me.

I'm after a half decent joystick for use in bf2, I can fly the chopper quite good with a keyboard and mouse but I get the feeling I can get that bit better with a joystick but have no idea which one to go for. I remember owning a saitek jobby a few years back that was quite good plus it had a throttle thingy on it, don't know if they still do them or not.

The best joystick i have ever used ( and i have been through a good few ) has to be the "microsoft sidewinder force feedback 2"

It rocks - one slight problem is i believe they have discontinued this line - but if you see one second hand, then its definately worth getting hold of one.

I use a Saitek Cyborg Evo for flying it's only £25, is left and right hand compatible, and allows some adjustment to make it more comfortable.
There's a force feedback version if that's your thing.

i thought the same so got a joystick for heli's but tbh i much preffered the mouse/KB setup, joystick is much better though for planes imo

Would I actually benefit from Force Feedback, or is it one of those things that sounds cool

unfortunately for BF2 you wouldnt get any benefit from the force feedback - it just sounds cool

but it seriously is a sweet joystick - i used to love the Saitek range until i tried it
