I'm in the market for a new keyboard and mouse as my old MX5000 combo is starting to show its age. Here are my criteria:
I quite like the look of Logitech's illuminated keyboard at the moment, but it's perhaps a bit too expensive for me. Ideal budget is around £70 for both. Not sure about which mouse to get… the M555b caught my eye though.
Any suggestions would be great
- Doesn't have to be a two-in-one combo; happy to buy separately.
- Mouse should be laser, as I have a glass mat.
- Wireless mouse is essential; not too bothered about the keyboard, but would be nice.
- Gaming performance isn't important.
- Multimedia controls would be great; I particularly like the touch-pad volume control on the MX5000.
- Mouse reliability is a must. I sent my first MX5000 back as the mouse wheel stopped working as a button and developed a really annoying fault where it would sometimes double click when it should've single clicked. That got really irritating at times. The second one has ended up with exactly the same problems. The keyboard also has some issues where a key will occasionally "jam" on and it'll need to be reconnected to Bluetooth to fix it.
