Which Keyboard?

STEELSERIES 6 GV2 or Ozone Strike Gaming Mechanical Keyboard

So I basically have 1 day to decide and I was wondering does anyone have any personal experience with one or both or these keyboards? If so which one would you recommend for a gamer, I play mmorpg's, fps and a few others.

They're both going to be okay if you like cherry blacks. Do you plan on typing a lot? If you do, you may want to consider a keyboard with blues/browns/reds instead.

Hmm well I am going uni soon and will be studying cs, what would you suggest for gaming & typing?

If you're going to be living in halls I wouldn't recommend a mech board, as even the quietest of them are louder than standard rubber dome. You could always get a mech board then add O ring dampers to it but it will end up costing you a pretty penny altogether.

No I will be fine, sound level is not a problem

Well I know for a fact that my mother can hear me through the walls at night when I'm typing on my blue board, so I had to learn to touch type.

Either way to say mech boards aren't loud is silly. All boards are made slightly differently, and the housing they're in makes a difference as well in how loud they are and how they sound. My friend has filco with blues which is a fair bit louder than my cherry g80.

How loud are the black and brown ones?

btw this is going to be my first mechanical keyboard and having never tried one with black switches yet aiming to buy one do you guys think I will like it straight away? or should I be looking to buy e.g. a blue as my first

Im passing on the choice between the two, I will now be going with one from filco! however Im lost now brown or blue? I need a keyboard for gaming and typing however I want one that sounds like a mechanical keyboard! not one that sounds like an ordinary one so with the brown switches will I still get the mechanical feel?
