Which KitchenAid and where from?

Buying my wife to be a KitchenAid for her marriage gift (I know, classic). Which one should I get, and where should I buy it from for fast & secure delivery and good warranty?

She absolutely loves it. I don't know much about them and how they compare with other mixers though.

I've had a go myself when making some yorkshire puds and it's a very solid machine.

Good to hear the positive feedback about it Pete. Think I'll go for http://www.johnlewis.com/231287550/Product.aspx as the glass jar seems more practical? Do they all come with 5yr warranties, or is it just John Lewis that offer that?

Are you anywhere near a JL store? If so, you can possibly beat them down on a price little if a high-street retailer (eg Harts of Stur) is cheaper. IIRC, JL don't price match against online only sellers though. I think I got the JL in-store price down by £20 to £30. Harts list the warranty as being a 5 year KitchenAid, so maybe that is standard?

I have just rung JL and they have one in stock with the glass bowl (she can always buy the metal one later one if she needs it). I am familiar with the 'never knowingly undersold' policy, and we can always do this at a later date, as it think it's within 30 days of purchase. Just want it reserved, bough and wrapped. They are ringing me back once they sort it all out for me.

That was easier than I thought...
 
All bought! They are wrapping it all up for me and I can collect it tonight! Winner! Now...who can I price match against? Is Harts of Stur a physical shop, as John Lewis will only match against them if they have a shop I think...anyone else I could match against?

Cool, thank you for that. I'll do that in store tonight when I pick it up then. Only £14.95, but that'll pay for a few beers on Honeymoon :)
