I've looked at Roman, Japanese, Cryilic and Hebrew and I'm having trouble finding a numeral system that I like the look of. Anyone got any suggestions?

It's for a date in a piece of design work. I would like Roman but I need a lot of 8's and that's the longest single-digit numeral (VIII) and it end up looking a bit stretched out.

you got any more information about this piece of design work?

making the numerals relevant has as much importance (if not more) than just selecting one because its "cool" :p

The Sanskrit numbers are still used today in Hindi but yeah they are nice numerals. If I'm not mistaken, modern numerals are based on them.

As I say, I really like them too but I've been having trouble denoting 28/08/2007 (XXVIII-VIII-MMVII)in a nice font.

Got a particular number in mind, might be easier to give a recommendation if we know the number. Also is it for any particular purpose? no point in writing a number down if 99% of people will look at it and think "what the hell is that bunch of squiggles"?
