Which laptop is better

Just about to get one of these two laptops but which one is the better

Sony NS10L T3200
15.4" screen
T3200 processor
3gb ram
250gb h drive

Acer 2920 LX
12.1" screen
T5500 processor
2gb ram
250gb h drive

both got dvd rw ,wifi
both about same price
tis for my son who is 15 so homework, internet, online gaming, mp3 is about the most it will be used for.
Any advice appreciated, Thanks

If mobility isn't an issue I'd go with the bigger screen and extra RAM.

Neither if he is Gaming - you will need a dedicated graphics card.
