I have just bought a new 15.6" dell latitude.
The vents are in the centre on the bottom, extending towards the front. The hot exhaust vent is on the left hand side which is angled slightly down so the desk is getting hot and I'm sure it's not ideal.
An almost perfect way to improve the ventilation a lot compared to being flat on the desk is just to put a 1/2" thick book under the back. This angles the keyboard nicely and it's at a nice angle to type on. I'm looking for some sort of stand rather than my current in-elegant solution.
I don't really mind if it has fans on it (not really necessary I don't think) it's the ergonomics for typing that matter more. If it does have fans then it would be nice if it had a usb hub built in with 4 ports (so I can treat it a bit like the docking station that I don't have! and indeed can't find for sale? =\)
Does anyone have any ideas?
