I've narrowed my choice down to 2 laptops. I want to be able to play BF4 and maybe if a new Battlefield is released, I want to be able to play that as well on at least medium-high settings for both games and various other games like CS (which will run on any of them). Not too bothered about an SSD but if I can upgrade the MSI laptop to have 1 it would be good.

The MSI has an 870m which is quite a lot faster than the 860.

Id go for the MSI

Edit : and yes you can add an SSD easily enough. I plan to add an SSD to mine soon.

Thanks, i'm going to get this tomorrow and maybe buy an SSD soon

For me when speccing my laptop last week I had decided I wanted an 870m and there were only a few laptops around that price mark with them. There is another firm who do one too and offer a 3yr warranty. Which seemed pretty good.

But in the end I just got the MSI.

I figure Ill be using the laptop a lot plugged into a TV and its extra graphics power will ensure I get good fps at 1080p

Ive played Payday 2, Witcher 2, Dragonage, Dota2, Mafia 2, Skyrim, Tomb Raider, Farcry 3 and a few more and its never skipped a beat. It plays all with max detail etc

You can...just do not damage anything! If you do - Warranty = void. If you don't...then everything is fine and dandy!

Really appreciating my GT60 today.

Played 3hrs of Skyrim and 4hrs of Farcry 3 on it today (Got a lot of spare time and nothing else to do where I am right now) and its been brilliant.

Ive just turned off farcry now. The Laptop does get hot as hell but soon cools once demand is removed.

Definitely satisfied I chose an 870m laptop over an 860m.

The Wifi is also very strong and the keyboard is brilliant. Getting used to typing on it already and the key presses are very nice.

Thumbs up MSI.

As for warranty sticker, I have one on mine and I don't think it actually even covers any screws or joints. although I might be wrong.
