Ive always had Antec cases and i love them, but the only one that ticks most of the boxes this time seems to be the Antec 1900 - but i don't like the red or green colours on the case.

Specs:
ATX on Air cooling
Fit large gpu (e.g. Fury 12 inches plus)
At least 2-3 ssd's plus 3+ hdds
Front USBs at the top (case on floor)
Probably full tower, my midi is just too restrictive.

Not tied on budget, preferably <£300 but can go above for something worthwhile.

Out of the loop for a few years, i dont even recognise most of the case manufacturers names now. What are the best options or where to start?

What about the Antec S10 case?

It will last you years and years! Great product. Can you found for your budget too.

If you want something lower priced, I would suggest looking at the Antec P380 case as well.

P380 usb ports are on the wrong side for me with where my case will be.

OK I must have missed the S10, been out of the loop for the last few years, I will check it out. I like the look of it. Cheers for that.

The P380 USB ports can be flipped either side the box is flippable inside. You just remove the top panel and flip it over with a few screws removed and reinstall it the other way round.

What’s the story with so many otherwise great cases banning optical drives? Obviously they are not the future but a lot of my old games and films are on DVD, all my old music is on CD etc. I am not burning every single disc that I have collected over the last 30 years onto drives – that would take forever. If I’m spending 3k on a new PC then it needs to, inter alia, play discs.

Check out the Phanteks Enthoo Primo, In-Win 909 (which is on offer this week at £309.99) and the be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900. These would be my main recommendations.
