which LCD for £600

had a look at the samsung but it seems to suffer from input lag...

also been looking at the px80 42" but the thought of screen burn/image retention puts me off!!!

That will only be an issue if you do something really dumb, like go away for the weekend leaving the menu screen on. If you do that then you deserve burn / retention.

It's over-hyped.

so playing the same game all for 5/6hrs wouldn't affect the screen? rentention or burn?

Not that I've noticed on mine. I accidentally left it on the Sky EPG menu when I went to bed one night and there wasn't a trace.

I play 5+ hrs sessions on my Kuro and not a hint of retention.

The panny Plasma mught have a little retention, but as long as you don't leave it on the same screen, or the same HUDs, maps etc for overnight, or paused for many hours then you should be fine.

If it was such a problem then people would be logging onto forums and posting wildley how bad their new tv is and how to get their money back
