Simple Question I hope, Looking for the following LCD

True 8bit colour 16.7 ml PVA/MVA panel
8ms or less
Two inputs DVI and D sub
17" or 19" depending on price
Cheap under £250
First use is for image/Video editing
Second use for full on FPS

If I have to I will go for two screens one for games, one for graphics, I know where to go for a games panel a 6bit TN panel 4ms or less like the Samsung or Viewsonic, but what about my true colour 8bit 8ms panel

Thanks Phil

not going to find a good PVA / MVA panel for under £250 im afraid. The Dell 1905FP might be a good choice if you get the 8ms P-MVA edition. Otherwise you will be pushed on budget. Models like the Samsung 930BF might be worth a look since the colour reproduction if very good for a TN panel, offers arguably some of the best gaming performance in the market, has DVI and VGA and is in the price range.

Only screen that fits your criteria is Formac Gallery 1900 Oxygen Xtreme-3, which I've just seen for £235 inc, and that's 8 ms G2G MVA. It's an aquired taste though :) Other than that it's the Dell 1905FP, provided you can get the 8 ms version (the 20 ms version would not be suited to fast FPS games), or the Belinea 10 19 20, which are both just over your budget.

The Dell is probably the superior of the 3 screens. I've read about backlight bleed on both the Belinea and Formac.

Thanks looked at the [Formac Gallery 1900 Oxygen Xtreme-3] looks very Apple but good price, read a review of the Dell, this looks interesting, the review was one year old, I was looking at the Samsung for gaming, what about 17" I may not have the space for two 19" monitors.
