Hi,
I'm looking to upgrade my old breaking CRT for an LCD. I'm on a budget of up to £150 (including the VAT!).
I've got limited space for the flat screen. My old Sony monitor was 18" wide (45.72cm) - and surprisingly only had a 16" screen!
I've been looking at LG and a cheaper make from a company called CIBOX. According to the blurb they are apparently Samsung rebadged panel but can't find anything to back that up. Does anyone know any more on that?
Smaller 17" Wide screen LCD's looked like postage stamps when I looked at them in the shops so it'll be a 19".
Do people bother getting 4:3 ratio monitors still or is it all widescreen now?
Can anyone recommend a good LCD (2-5ms) for that price?
Also - whats the deal with dead pixels now? It used to be if it had 3 dead pixels it could be classed as faulty. Do people still experience dead pixels?
