which linux os

as tittle which linux os should i try now! i tried red hat about 2 years ago now i feel the need to experiment again. So just need a general reccomendation prefrence is not an issue just want to play around thats all i want it for testing ect ect.

Not a KDE fan either tbh but I think I found KDE easier when starting out on linux back in 199x..

I'll second Kubuntu over Ubuntu... Gnome just doesn't float my boat, whereas KDE looks oh-so-nice. And, KDE 4 is looking flippin' great!

I am not a fan of KDE either at the moment. However will give KDE4 a try when it is released. Right now I am using fluxbox/gnome. I like simplicity!

Does not really matter K/U/X/buntu you pick since you can install whatever window manager you prefer afterwards if you don't like the default.
