Which lottery to play?

I play the Euromillions, I'm not stupid. I know the odds but it's a small amount I don't miss and there's still always a chance of winning big, no matter how small. I seem to regularly get little wins around the £2.50 mark a few times a month.

I was about to sign up to national lottery to play online, just to do the Thunderball and maybe set for life, but didn’t like the idea that you can't seem to delete your card details after adding funds.
Also the site doesn't even have any form of 2FA. Screw that, will just buy tickets at a shop. How can a website that stores personal and payment details and any funds not have 2FA.

Euromillions (now and again)

I couldn't sleep on Tuesday night, checked my email at 02:00...had a email from the Lotto telling me I'd won a prise! Tried to log in and check but it was down for maintenance...then couldn't sleep...eventually nodded off (after wondering what I buy)...logged on in the morning and... £2.60...Gutted and very tired!

If it’s just a bit of fun money each month, I wouldn’t overthink the EV too much. Premium Bonds are sensible, but they don’t really scratch the “what if” itch when it comes to big jackpots.

I know a few people who use Lottoland now and then because it’s easy to dip in without setting up a regular payment, but at the end of the day the odds are still massive whatever you play.

With £10 a month it’s really just buying the dream, not the maths.

9 months since I ditched the lottery in April. That's an extra £108 put into the S&S ISA.

I genuinely think that there is a better chance of finding a bar of gold or a diamond ring on the street than winning the lottery.

I do a monthly subscription to Euromillions but looking at cancelling it because it’s over £20 a month and I’ve only won £2.60 once, probably be better off putting it into a savings account

Or save it up and put into Premium Bonds.

A lottery every month without spending any money.

I won £1680 on 60p stake on an online slot called Gonzita's Quest a couple of months back. Technically it's not normally possible to win that amount because the game's jackpot is 2300X of your stake, but I won the daily progressive jackpot which is why it came out as 2800X for me.

I am tempted by the Postcode Lottery that a few people have mentioned here. As well as a single jackpot, are there lower amounts to be won as well, like in the regular Camelot lottery? I am tempted to try this if there are multiple prizes to be won and not just a single jackpot prize.

Yeah you can with like £5 and £10 vouchers (there may be slightly higher amounts?) and daily £1000 winners for a number of postcodes iirc
