It was always the consensus that LG screens gave the best reproduction hence i have been using them for years. But what i would like to know due to going to buy a new 1080 video card if you have the choice which manufacturer would you go by Acer predator or LG. Thanks for any help....

I am thinking in general do we know which one gives the best colour reproduction, refresh rates which i suppose comes under performance. I was going to buy a gtx1080 at the same time but now i have been told that the card really has to match the monitor so now wondering if a gtx 1070 is more to my needs. I play guild wars 2 mostly but am thinking of getting the new version of doom and i do some photo processing..

A decent IPS panel will give better colour reproduction than most LG panels, or most of those of any manufacturer, that are not IPS.
The maximum refresh rate of a monitor is whatever the maximum refresh rate of the monitor is.

A GTX 1080 is probably overkill for a 1080p screen, but not for 1440p or above. Any extra performance in a GPU over another GPU is all about fps (I'm not including RAM quantity or cooling there), not graphics quality. Integrated CPU graphics could display a photo just as well as any GPU.

So would you say then that this monitor. Stock Code: MO-109-AC from overclockers would be better with a gtx 1080...

Well took the bull by the horns and ordered the KFA2 GeForce GTX 1080 EX OC 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card
GX-088-KF
and

Acer Predator X34A 34" 3440x1440 IPS G-SYNC WideScreen Super-Wide ZeroFrame Curved LED Monitor
MO-109-AC

at the total price of this i am hoping for a large bag of HARIBO !!!!!!!!!!! lmao
