Which Mass effect 2 DLC is worthwhile?

If you're going to buy any of the DLC, I'd say Kasumi + LOTSB - they both involve additional squadmates, unlike Overlord. Arrival is just one big shooting gallery.

Arrival doesn't sound that impressive.

Shadow Broker is great and gives you a few extra upgrades.
Overlord is pretty good but doesn't add much to the story.
Kasumi is a good squadmate but the side mission doesn't add much, main reason to get that is because the SMG you get is in a league of its own.

The four that are worth it to me, in order... Shadow Broker > Overlord > Kasumi > Arrival.

Agreed with comments above. Kasumi, LOTSB and Overlord are awesome. I bought them all, and loved them all, except for the the daft appearance packs which I didn't bother getting.

im still waiting for a re release that inclides all the dlc, they did it with dragon age so fingers crossed it will happen again for this

LOTSB is the best (some may not agree, but in general this is the view).

My second favourite is Kasumi, followed by Overlord (has some fun combat elements, even if it is a little lifeless).

Arrival is my least favourite. Although it has some good parts, there were a few extremely cringeworthy parts (I won't spoil it here).

I'm sure it will, around October for the Holiday season. :) I'm holding out for an ultimate version too.

Is it better to download the DLC before you play or will it ruin the game? Or should I complete the Main Story and then play the DLC? How does that even work, will I have to load a save just before the end of the game or start fresh?

At the end of the game you go back to do whatever you want, you have free reign of the galaxy. I would get Kazumi at the beginning because you can take her with you on missions then. Arrival is best played last as it's the tie between ME2 and ME3. The others you can play whenever.

You can do the DLC stuff at any time, end of the game or middle of a character in progress or a new character. I reccomend LOTSB as it adds quite a lot of extra depth to and meshes well with the bigger game - probably one of the best DLC releases of any game in the regard that its not just something extra tacked on, but gives you a look behind the scenes of the main storyline as well and has extra perks that fit in with the rest of the game. (tho the actual mission(s) it adds are a blatant rip off of blade runner, fith element, iRobot and another sci-fi movie I can't recall the name of - think theres even a little bit of judge dredd in there too v. Philip K Dick esque).

Yes, Lair of the Shadow Broker is also important because it adds the opportunity to reconfigure the skill points for your crew members. You couldn't do that until this DLC arrived.

i got it all when it was cheap a few months back. not touched any of yet been distracted with other games, which is a real shame.

ignore me i got it all for the xbox.

Indeed, useful but not necessarily important. The few weapon upgrades you can get might be more use.

As for Kasumi. Using her is debatable. Her Shadow Strike is powerful but very hit n miss given that sometimes it gets her killed or she bugs and gets stuck and it does have quite a long use and recharge time. Flashbang is epic though. Generally the main reason for that DLC is the SMG though since its about 5 miles better than the 2 useless guns you get to choose from and gives the less combat focused classes some good firepower.

Bought the whole lot including extra outfits :). Why not - costs peanuts in the grand scheme of things. All good but LOTSB best imho.
