Which MATX case, Phanteks, Fractal Design, Prodegy M

The Evolv mATX is really solid, and really easy to work in for an mATX case. Prodigy is too small inside and minimal space to hide anything although since it's smaller it may be good if u want to carry it about (the Phanteks is heavy) or have minimal room.

Never used the Fractal case but I can't see it beating the Evolv for build quality or features.

Spent all last night looking at cases and case reviews.

I have discounted the Prodigy as too fiddle and every video I saw it looked liked it was not very stable.

The Evolve is a lovely case but boy, what were they thinking putting the cd at the back. Its also a big case.

The Fractal looks a nice case but the one thing builders say is the area behind the mobo for the cable is very tight.

I then saw the Corsair Carbide 240:

This looks very different which interests me, its got good cable management. Ok, I will need to but an external CD Writer but they are not expensive.

I am very taken with this case and this could well be the one I go for

Probably 'Lets satisfy the odd person who still wants to use a DVDRW but not spoil the front of our case' Eventually most cases will be the same, external DVDRW is your best bet. I'd still go for the Evolv over the Corsair too, just moved out of mine (to a bigger Evolv) and it's a lovely case.

the "only" time I have ever used dvd drive is to install windows, so that rear mount would be fine for me or not at all. I would go for the phanteks, the corsair looks cheap imo. Fractal are great cases just a bit plain. If it was a business or silent pc I would go fractal

Exactly, DVDRW's are being made obsolete by ever faster internet and relatively huge USB storage devices. Added to that, look at how nice cases can look when they don't have to put a 5.25" bay in there!
