which mem ?

Hi i was running 4x1 gig sticks of corsair dominator xms2 8500 ram , but one of my sticks went bad , im now looking to upgrade to 8 gig and was wondering if i can just put in 4x 2 gig dominator sticks or do ihave to use an 8 gig set as this appears to have diffrent timings , when i search for compatible ram for my mb on the corsair website ...
my mb is an xfx 780i , thx

Few sets of THIS mate is what i would recommend,

if you get different sets, there is no guartantee that it will work.
They will have to be manually set in the bios to run at the loosest timmings and slowest speed out if the sets (if there both 8500 this will not be an issue however)

I would just get a matched set.
