Which memory cards should I get?

Need to get a memory card for the Wii and also one so that I can play GC games on it. I know the Wii takes SD, but what size do I need and I have no idea what size the GC ones come in - presuming the auction site is a good place to get these?

(Important to know the Wii already has 512mb built into it)

I pick Gamecube memory cards up for a couple of pounds from cash converters when they have any in stock. SD cards are only worth buying if your planning on down loading more than 20 Virtual console games or want to view photos or or listen to music on the Wii.

Two Gigabyte SD cards can be picked up really cheaply nowadays so you may has well go the whole hog and get one.

Overclockers do a 2Gb for an insanely cheap £11.74.

I think I'll stick with the 512MB internal for now as I only want a handful of VC games and I use my 360 for photos/music.

I'll check out the shops in town for some cheap GC cards!

BTW - noticed GC games have gone up in price a lot on eBay now that the Wii is out - not surprisingly really. And of course every GC game on there is now "Gamecube/Wii".

Oh one last question - does the normal GC controller work with all the VC games, or do I need the standard Wii controller?

normal gc controller works with most of them, dont think theres any it dosnt yet

it tells u before u buy what u can use anyway

I think the GC controllers works with Most VC games, don't think it's all of them

I think it does work with all of them like the classic pad does. For soemthings like mario kart 64 the gc pad is better imo.
