why on earth has it come up with stars i all i put was f t w ???? as in for the win whyyyyyyyyyy is stared out grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The Crucial does seem to be the memory of the moment. Not only will it do FSB600, it will do it at sensible timings like 5-5-5-15!

In this case, as you want to OC and you are using a 975 based MOBO, the PC8500 Dominator is the better choice if decide on Corsair.

or save £50 and get the crucial that will do the same speeds at the same timings :)

Crucial 10th all the way, 3-3-3 to 370ish, 4-4-4 to 500+, 5-5-5 to 600  save yourself some money as well :D

How come you ain't looked into these:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-085-CR

Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Tenth Anniversary Dual Channel Kit.
I think I just ignored it because it was 5300. RAM confuses the hell out of me at the best of times, and although I had heard the anniversary stuff was very good, I figured because it was not 6400 then it would still just be beaten by the Corsair 6400 of equivalent value. But I'm guessing from your suggestion that this isn't the case?? Is that just because it's been such specially prepared RAM with special attention paid to it's construction? What about the fact that it's 667mhz vs the 800mhz of the ones I was looking at?

Hi Bananadude....i think if you read through the thread of the Tenth Anniversary ram you will find what it's capable of....and for price/performance you won't beat it....but don't hang around for to long as OCUK has got the only stock of this ram and it is Limited Edition....meaning once it's gone there will be no more.

Crucial!!!!!! Get it whilst you still can. This stuff will be gone shortly!

I wanna get it but have to wait until i upgrade my system in May. Shame that it will probably be all out of stock!

Isnt the Crucial stuff just like the Corsair 6400 C3's? Ive always liked them, had a little play with them on a friends rig and loved the tight timmings, bit expensive though but if the Crucial are pratically the same then they are a steal ;)

Is the reason this stuff is so good simply because it overclocks so well? To what level does it overclock though? Obviously you can overclock any RAM (some better than others of course), but is the Anniversary stuff overclockable beyond what equivalent priced RAM can overclock to? For example, would it easily beat what the Corsair Dominator PC2-6400C4 would be capable of when overclocked?

:)

Seems to good to be true that this RAM is as good as RAM that's nearly twice the price!! Amazing this stuff didn't sell out it in 5 minutes if that's the case! Why would you buy anything else?? Have people just not cottoned on to how great this stuff is, or is there a catch somewhere I'm not seeing...?

People have cottoned onto it, thats why theres a sticky about it. I think the reason that some people dont have it is because c2d came out a fair bit before this ram, so people bought geil, corsair, g.skill..... etc.

I think people building a system now should definalty look into this stuff as its very good!
