Hi all going to order this week and wanted to know which mem is best to use on a i5 setup using an asus motherboard.

alos i am getting a Prolimatech Megahalem and want to be able to place and replace memory will the slots be in the way of the heatsink on a asus motherboard ?

memory is

Corsair XMS3 4GB

this seems the only memory that supports XMP ?

the Corsair Dominator 4GB does not support this

any help thanks

Does the Prolimatech Megahalem fit the i5 socket now? What motherboard are you getting?

the XMS3 is not as big as the Dominator but then the Prolimatech Megahalem is huge lol

yes they do fit there is a rev b version that has the i5 clips

its a big bugger yep going to be using a gentle typhon 120mm fan 1450rpm on the heatsink but i am trying to find out if it will fit the antec p183 as the post above says it will fit a lian li b10 case.

the motherboard will be an asus but i might be going fore the usb 3 version as they have moved the gfx card slot lower down and might be better for cooling the cpu over the older asus i5 boards

Antec are normally pretty good on their site for giving dimensions.

I don't think it will foul the RAM slots but putting yoru case lid on could mean trouble.

I thought the bigger fins were for having a bigger fan at a lower speed?

i got the info from here

http://www.testseek.com/labs/reviews/review-of-prolimatech-mega-shadow-cpu-cooler/?p=3165#more-3165

i have read a lot of people say the Prolimatech Megahalem & gentle typhon 120mm are a very good combo for cooling and low noise

found this to

http://www.gpforums.co.nz/thread/364671/?s=

it llook like it fits and you can even change the top fan without taking the whole motherboard out, looks sweet.

i now need to know if the side panel can go on with this heatsink hope someone can help
