Which Memory for P55

I am thinking of buying a i5 setup with a P55 motherboard (Probably Asus).

Because I was kind of caught out with compatibility issues when I last got a system. (p45) I was wondering if anyone can suggest a 4gb set of memory.

There's 3 types of duel channel DDR3 memory I can see.. 14400, 12800 and 10666

That is where it gets a bit confusing for me. Is there significant performance differences between them?

Thanks for all your help in advance :)

Well,if you can be bothered to have a look beyond page 1.
I'm sure you'll find quite a few threads with recommendations on what others are using.

Not having a go at you and welcome to the forums btw.
Thing is so many threads pop up like this when the answers you seek are already here, all you need to do is use the search function or scroll through a few pages.

Those numbers refer to the speed the memory works at.

In a rather sweeping generalisation... Higher speeds mean naff-all. Almost certainly going to see no difference whatsoever unless you peer closely at benchmarking software.

Get the cheapest, most reliable brand you want, if that means you then get the most expensive one, that's your call but faster memory will mean very little to most programs.

This review is using the 1366 platform but don't worry about that, watch the results of the tests despite the differences in speeds: Clicky.
