Hi,
I've just ordered a Asus M5A99X EVO 990X motherboard.
I will initially be using a X2 550BE CPU with all 4 cores unlocked.
At some point I will upgrade to a 8150 or maybe later CPU.
I am a little confused what speed ram this board and cpu configuration will use. I intend to add 32Gb of RAM, filling all 4 slots on the board.
I am not so bothered about overclocking, though will do some gaming so faster the better, but dont want to spend more than I have to. The reason I need so much RAM is for virtual machines.
I keep reading various bits about AMD not fully using faster RAM, especially if using all 4 slots.
Finally, the official ram list at asus website doesn't list any bigger stick as compatible. Can I just pick anything and it will work? Anything I should stay away from?
