I was going to go and buy a NX300 tomorrow, partly due to the current offer but with so many options I keep going around in circles.

Is this a good choice for a £500 budget?

Thanks for the detailed reply. I was split 50/50 over the nx300 and nex-5T. The A6000 is perfect for what I want but at near twice the camera I'm questioning if it's worth it over the 5T. I did look at the A5000 but the specs don't impress.

I'm not really interested in importing one, no warranty etc.

Why would you get no warranty i have with all mine and used it a few times as well. But its your choice, i dont know anything about the older NEX cameras.

Sorry I meant hassle free warranty. I buy everything locally, that way if I have a problem I take it back and it gets resolved the same day (usually a replacement).
What I read about importing is sending it off to repairers, getting the importer to pay etc. A uk bought sony also has 2 years warranty :)

Thanks for the input

I think I have narrowed it down to the following:

For £400 (within budget) there is Sony Nex 5T/6/7 or Olympus E-PL5
If I wait a week or so and stretch to £650 / £680 there is Sony A6000, Olympus OM-D M10 or Panasonic GX7

Decisions :confused::confused:

Package one of two arrived :D
I wanted the A6000 but at twice the price I thought I best try one first.
