Looking for an upgrade, running Phenom II X4 945 and i'm after an AM3 800 board.
Been having a nosey on OC and while the majority of the boards have a dual PCI-E configuration, the majority if the time it seems to be x4 speed instead of x16 like the upper one.
Just had a quick Google into this and apparently it can cause XFire set up's to not fulfil their full potential. Ideally i'm after a board that has two x16 PCI-E slots. I've seen a Gigabyte board that when used in XFire will drop the speeds of both slots to x8 which im assuming is slightly better than the x4?
Never had a SLi/XFire set up so please correct/educate me if i'm wrong.
