Which mobo for quad core!?

I am overloaded lately with project and have 0 time to look around. I need a quad ASAP as I use VM machines for this project and is really holding me back my current setup.

I need to overclock to the max since the machine is for my entertainment also.

I will appreciate suggestions on a quality board to last (basically the best board for my money, minus bells and whistles like wifi etc I dont need them)

If you want an all singing and dancing mobo, then take a look at the EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLi

But .. it's nvidia. Rumor has it that quads and 790 are a no go? It this substantiated?

I have a Q6600 on an Asus P5B-E. It's got an intel P965 chipset.

I have always used Asus as they're great boards and really good for overclocking. I have my quad at 3.6GHz on air!

only on rev 1 evga 680i, the 790i is a glorious piece of kit.
