Hi guys,

I've been out of the new hardware loop for a while now and just recently started looking into getting myself some new kit. The only thing im certain of is the CPU which I'd like to be :

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-128-IN)

I've had some problems with my last rig and the ram sticks just dying on me so could you guys please recommend me a good motherboard and a matching 2 x 1GB set.
I'm not looking for budget mobo and ram im looking for v good quality stuff.
The mobo and ram I'm looking for should be very stable and ofc a good performer xD though I'm not really looking for anything to overclock my pc with I just want reliable stuff as a gaming rig.

Thanks in advance

This would build you a good solid system and it does offer a lot of overclocking possibilities if you want it. Asus motherboards have always been rock-solid in my experience first and foremost so if that is important then I'd always be happy to recommend them.
