Which Mobo?

Hi, i'm thinking of building a conroe rig in the near future but im un-decided of what mobo to use. Which of these are better?

Asus P5W DH Deluxe i975X
or
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6

Ignoring price which would be a better choice? Also which is faster and which is more future proof (The gigabyte supports quad core but so does the asus)

I have an Abit AB9 pro, and like it

I think it depends if u want to overclock really, i think those 2 are known to better for overclocking, but if u dont, just go for any motherboard within your price range and for the features you want, i think just about any motherboard is pretty good.

Also i think its best to go with the P965 chipset as it's built for conroes and will work out the box whereas the 975x will run with conroe i think it depends if the board has it flashed to support it

Ok thanks for the reply i chose these two becasue i thought they were the most future proof of the Core 2 boards (Both supporting Quad core) But whih is the most reliable? Ive heard problems about both boards but less seem to be about the asus.

EDIT: Yes i definatly want to overclock as im looking at the 6300 chip and aiming at roughly 3ghz which boards will be able to do this?

With that chip the Giga. I have the DS4 and P5W DH and the P5W is very FSB limited which will kill you on the OC with a 6300.
