Im after a cheap motherboard, i decided to keep my 295 after all and im going to this year soon get a second one, my mobo at moment only has 1 pci slot. its the asus p5q. i am after a board thats not too expensive but will have no probs running 2 295's and also be fairly new. any recommendations would be appreciated. Also i would like the board i get to be able to use my cpu which i currently have and the cooler. E8400 wolfdale and Freezer extreme cooler, not sure they sell this cooler on ocuk. I can not link for obvious reasons, its silver and black and very large, if anyone knows which one i mean. Anyways thanks for the tips guys, cos im useless when it comes to motherboards.

The only 775 boards that officially support SLi are the ones with the nVidia chipset, I've never used these personally, but I've heard a few people say that they aren't as good as the Intel boards when it comes to overclocking.

There are some hacks around the net that allow you to use SLi on Intel boards like X38, P45 and X48...

Any reason why you're buying another GTX295, seems pointless throwing that kinda money away when there are new nVidia cards just around the corner, and also the HD5*** series from ATi that are available now...

a friend is selling his mate.

Isn't slavery illegal?

anyway:
well, depends what you mean by dirt cheap. Personally I cant imagine a 2nd 295 ever being worth it at this stage - especially if it means a new mobo too - unless it was really really cheap like £120 or something.

Well, don't get a p5n board, these things are bad; keep away from the 780i chipsets with asus. I think evga have some fairly good nForce boards, but remember that nForce chipsets much prefer dual channel RAM incase that applies to you.
