well i have asus x38 p5e3 deluxe ddr3 c2duo 8400 @ 3.8
just last week i forked out for an z68 D3H B3 from Gigabyte an soon a 2500k, your asking why after the x38 i bought this board its rather cheap not particually reliable when oc,an your right the x38 cost in aug 2009 £140 i could afford to and wow but today iam not gaming so much so probably a d3h gen 3 will be fine for 2 or 3 hours at a time an besides its £199 for todays duluxe i guess i paid my money hoping for an equally god board well ill see what happens.

i guess i want to know more bout ivy bridge what prices will be, ive already learnt bout the link between gen 3 come to think of ivy bridge what line up is on the way guess will be august untill i bye the cpu for new build with decreet gpu.

The Z68 D3H board isn't as expensive as the higher-end Z68 boards - but that doesn't mean it is poorly made and can't stand up to intensive use. It is well known gigabyte make quality motherboards and if you have any problems with your one then it is covered by a 3 year UK-based warranty.

As for Ivy Bridge, prices are expected to be very similar to the comparable Sandy Bridge chips. Here is some more information on the upcoming Ivy Bridge lineup and the compatability of these new CPUs with existing Z68 boards.
