Which mobo?

The cheapest X99 board here is this:

It's £170, so already above your budget. Another £10 will get you this one, which is fairly decent:

Unlike Skylake and Z170, all of the X99 boards are expensive, but it goes with the territory. Also be aware you're going to need DDR4 RAM if you haven't already got some. Something like this is a good choice for X99:
