saw the saphire pure 625,but from the googling of it, the cables are a tad short so i'm not sold on that one (why no reviews on cable length by the way. it's important)

not looking to break the bank so 60's £ or so ideally. the PSU will be at the bottom of the case so obviously the atx and 8pin have to reach the top of the mobo

the pure has 9 sata connectors which is great (i'll have 8 in there - 7 drives, 1 optical) + 1 or maybe 2 old IDE ones for now. plus an old 2400XT which may be swapped out with my 5770


advice peeps? :)
 
a review says the 8 pin connector is "quite short" :(

kinda my problem. would be nice for OCUK to measure the length of these cables for us :o

edit, don't say i'm a muppett, but couldn't i just get those akasa extension cables?

I think that's going to be your best bet, Zalman do a 600w but this is more than you want to pay, ssame goes for Corsair and Antec which are 650w but are a lot more.

well, got it. connector is long enough. didn't need the extendor. will use it though to twistix the cables neatly around the case for a change. my cases are usually a total mess
