I'm after a 20" or 22" monitor in the next week or so, it will mainly be Gaming/interet/web devolping etc

Have upto £220 to spend but cant decide which to go for, can anyone help me decide/offer some decent options etc

:)

fairly easy to pickup 22" for 120-140 but no1 seems to be very helpful reguarding said brands, i made a thread about em but no1s bothered replying.. =/
The 24" acer can be had for around £200 but no idea what they are like, no-one has said anything.

bog standard? Meaning? Last time i checked there was a variation between 22" panels =/
Thought these were the 22s that appeared at same time as the OCUK 24s?

Sorry, I meant for the money they will be bog standard tn panels. Nothing wrong with them just nothing special about them.

Samsung, Dell, Asus, Belinea, LG all do decent 22" models. The viewing angles won't be great but I don't think ghosting will be an issue. SOme are more adjustable than others, some have better contrast ratio's than others and some are cheaper than others - they range from around £140 - £240 last time I checked.

If you do go 24" just make sure your gfx card matches the games you play as I don't think the ocuk 24" has 1:1 pixel mapping so playing out of native res will be an issue

the ocuk ones supposed to scale resolutions fairly well, well that seemed to be word in the thread when they 1st were released :)

SOrry to hijack a bit OP but... brooder, so the 22" i mentioned would probably be alrite for games, probably have a bit of backlight bleed(to be honest i doubt my blacks at present are black, but iv probably gotten used to them, though they are a solid colour. bleh i cant find any reviews either.

I'd imagine it would be fine for games as the TN panels have fast reaction grey to grey times of around 2-6ms so no ghosting, yeh a bit of backlight bleed but I have it mine and it's not sucha a problem. I think people moan about it when they've paid £500+ for a screen and they notice a bit of bleed.

You may have already tried it but go here www.tftcentral.co.uk and see if they review the one you want
