Hi,

Ive recently bought a GTX1080 and now i'm looking to get a monitor that is a bit more modern!

Id like it to be 2560x1440, 24inch and have Nvidia g-sync. It will be used for gaming (Battlefield/Simulation etc) and general web browsing.

I am pretty clueless when it comes to monitors so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)

Funnily enough I've just bought a monitor for the same reason 1080Ti. And with the same requirements as you.
Got myself a Dell S2417DG which can be had for 400 notes from Amazon. They don't seem to sell it here
Fantastic monitor, though like any monitor you buy they do need adjustment.

Dell S2716DG 27-inch TN Gaming Monitor (1 ms Response Time, QHD 2560 x 1440 at 144 Hz, Nvidia G-Sync HDMI/DP/USB) - Black :
is this one worth it for £371 delivered?

The acer Predator XB241YU is exact spec with 144hz/165hz and its £380 at the moment.

Its a nice monitor but I sent mine back becuase of a stuck red pixel.

To be honest though I didn't find the extra sharpness of 1440p in 24" compared to 1080p much of a step up, I don't think its worth the extra gpu processing. If you want 1440p go 27".

Would it be better going 1080p at 24inch but still 144hz?

I would maybe if you can push your budget to 27" in my opinion. But if you are set for £400 and can what you can for the best deal.

1080P 23-25", 1440P 27"

It's still personal preference, you are better off seeing it with your own eyes.

1440p on 24" everything is sharper but it takes a lot more processing power and takes away FPS for the sake of it and to me its not worth it unless you are going to get 27", at that size 1440p is a good PPI.

Also Windows will auto scale to 125% so it won't look as good but is normal size, if you scale it back to 100% everything goes super sharp and clear but tiny.

I've just got a Predator XB252Q 240hz Gsync 1080P for £350, with my 1070TI I prefer this to the 1440p 24" one. Also the 240hz is native and on the 1440p its a factory built in overclock from 144 to 165hz and I'm pretty sure activating the overclock is what made the red stuck pixel appear.

Was on the jungle market place Italian seller, there was 10 left when I saw it last time.

Am waiting for a refund from Ali express for a Android unit for my car that I bought, turned to be faulty, once I get the refund will have the money to go for a monitor around the 450-500 mark. I think I might go for an 27inch ips qhd 144 if any available at that price. If not will look at the aoc agon, they seem to be the cheapest .
