Which monitor for my Xbox 360?

I'm in need of a new monitor for my Xbox 360 S as I'm currently using a big old box tv(w/e you call it).
I will be using my cheap Advent speakers with it and in some games (MW),
I will be using this

with my GameCom 367 headset.

I've been looking through different monitors in the past few weeks and have narrowed it down to 4 monitors.

So heres the 4 monitors :

LG E2360V-PN for £140

BenQ G2420HDBL (LED version) for £140

BenQ G2420HD (non-LED version) for £135

LG W2361V for £130

And if possible could you state the advantages/disadvantages of each monitor.

Does anyone have other recommendations at around £140? (24" + HDMI would be a bonus).
I will hopefully be ordering next week.

EDIT** I've also been looking at the OcUK V-Line 221V2SB and just use a HDMI>DVI adapter.

I am going to be getting the Acer G245H for xbox gaming in about 2 weeks time when I get my money back for my LG W2363D.

that monitor is out of my £140 budget

what made you return the LG, anything worth mentioning when using it with the 360?
and what connection were you using?

I'd go for the lg he sent back

I've got one myself, 0ms input lag is what you want for gaming.
It's a little "light" but change your reference levels on the xbox to "extended" put the hdmi black level to low on the monitor and you're good to go

Make sure you have an hdmi cable that doesn't have too much blocky plastic on it, I had to get a new one as the one I had wouldn't fit, the ports are quite flush with the side of the monitor.

thanks for the advice clippa, if i go for the 3D LG, i think ill have to snatch it up when its on offer as its around £30 over my current budget

Overclockers don't have the best prices OR customer service, you can get that monitor far cheaper elsewhere

In my opinion the LG sucks for console gaming as the image quality is far from pc standard. My 4 year old 19 inch 1440x900 monitor is far sharper and colorful compared to the LG.

hmmmmm, someone here told me that consoles dont make use of the 120Hz as they can only go upto 60Hz, so not really fussed about 3d/120Hz.
just need a something better than the one im currently using.

can anyone comment on any of the monitors ive mentioned in the OP?

EDIT**
so far im leaning towards the LG E2360V-PN with its slim look, LED backlit, thin bezels and HDMI.
is 1" difference really noticeable in screen sizes?

and if anyones using a 23" with a 24", could you please take a pic of the two monitors beside each other, i just want to see if theres much difference between the two.

BUMP

just wanted to bump this thread as i still havent decided which monitor to get.

but i have narrowed my choices, again :rolleyes:

1. LG E2360V-PN

2. BenQ G2420HD

3. LG W2361V

reasons why i would pick 1 monitor over the other.

1. LG E2360V-PN - slim look,led backlit, 3 years warranty.

2.BenQ G2420HD - 24", "better" technical details (brightness,contrast,response time) than LG E2360V-PN

3. LG W2361V - cheapest, similar technical details to the BenQ G2420HD only higher contrast, 3 years warranty.

ive ruled out the LG 3D 120Hz as its just a tad out of my budget.

would like to hear opinions, especially from PCM2 and cmndr_andi as you seem to have a good knowledge regarding monitors.
