Which monitor for under £330?

I have a GTX 680 still running just fine for what I want, but an old (10 years or so) 4:3 19" monitor.

The wife has offered to buy me a new monitor for my Birthday, with a budget of up to around £300, with a little flex.

I mostly play WoW, Civ, Xcom type games, with the odd bit of Elite dangerous, or Rainbow 6 Seige type games, but my reactions and eyesight are no longer those of a younger gamer.

What monitor size / resolution would best suit my graphics card and level of perception? Any suggestions for a good one of that type that fits?

*edit* Usually sat around 18-24" away from the monitor!

Apparently it supports it and I've read people happy enough using, but don't really know for sure - guess i could connect it up to the telly and see ;)

You won't be able to connect 680 to 4K tv at 4K resolution because 680 doesn't have hdmi 2.0 well not unless your tv has DisplayPort which is unlikely.

If you say that your eyesight isn't as good anymore so why bother with 4K monitor.?
High refresh rate monitor with gsync will definitely help you improve your not so great reflexes.
