so I’m looking at purchasing a monitor and I’ve got it down to two I like

GIGABYTE MO34WQC Wide Quad HD 34" Curved OLED

And

MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED 34 Inch UWQHD Curved Gaming Monitor

I’m leaning more towards the msi and both come in at under £700 with the msi on sale at the moment with the gigabyte being about £50 cheaper

What are people thoughts on these monitors.

Also with Black Friday looming I’m wondering if the might come down even more then

I'd probably go for the MSI for the higher refresh rate, saying that if you prefer to keep your elecitricty bill down the lower refresh rate and price might be a better option for you.

Worth checking which has the longer warranty too.

I put the wrong model number for the gigabyte it should have been MO34WQC2

Both monitors have the same refresh rate

I am running the MO34WQC2 since launch. A nice upgrade from VA, I wanted the KVM feature for my work laptop and built in speakers for my general use (less cables on the desk). Gaming, I prefer to use the headset anyway.

I managed to burn in my monitor because I work more than I play, but if you game most of the time you will be fine. Gigabyte didn’t send me new monitor but one with with low hours of usage, I waited enough time without the monitor so I just accepted it.

I have and do still use all of their OLED care features. So let’s see how I get on with this one.

They both look like really good well specced monitors. I like that even though not all monitors support it, they have pip/pbp which i find great and a bit of a game changer really. My experience is with an old budget 4k 28" screen, 34" will definitely be better whether you are gaming or not. Although i had 2 consoles connected or a console and a laptop. dont know what it would be like as a feature on just one device.

Im not sure if its just the way Gigabyte writes out their spec sheets, but it sounds more impressive with the 'unique feature' bit, however the MSI has console mode and other aids that sounds more impressive and probably what the Gigabyte doesnt seem to have.

MSI with those features and high refresh rate would be the winner, but i did notice one of the monitors is freesync and the other G sync. No mention of supporting both, so go with whichever will suit your graphics card best.
