Which monitor should I buy

I'm upgrading my system over the next few weeks and I have about £280 for a new monitor which one should I buy I'm looking at these 2 but if there is a better one i would like the advice

1440p/IPS/144Hz so as you get a better and better GPU you end up making the most of the screen.

It is Freesync but I think there is a Gsync version at about £500.

I should qualify all the above by saying I don't own this monitor, but the above link is in my favourites for another day.
