Hi Guys,

I need a new PC and monitor. I think I've made my mind up on the PC which will be the "ForceBox Gamer Plus" Intel Core i5 4670 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Quad Core Nvidia GTX Special Edition Gaming PC. Going for stock with GeForce GTX750Ti 2048MB http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-430-OE

The problem I have is which monitor to use with it. I will mainly use it for productivity apps but I do play games but these are really only World of Warcraft and Counter Strike Source.

I have a budget of @£300. I want 27" or above. I love the look of the 29 inch super wide screen but I'm really not up with the specs or the capabilities of monitors. Would the graphics card above drive a 2560x1440 Resolution or would I be best with 1080p?

Which would be best in my budget? I was thinking....
AOC Q2770PQU 27" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-018-AO&groupid=17&catid=1120

AOCQ2963PM 29" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-006-AO&groupid=17&catid=1120

BenQXL2720Z 27" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-098-BQ&groupid=17&catid=1120. Is this really 3D? Don't think I need 3D?

Acer XB270HA 27" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-067-AC&groupid=17&catid=1120. I love the sound of this one but am concerned as I thought Acer had a bad rep and I notice its only input is a display port. What is that? I thought most card ran DVI or HDMI? Is this a problem with the monitor? Which port would you recommend?

Any other you would recommend? And a decision 29" or 27" would my card run them at higher res?

I know I may sound like a noob but I could really do with some help. Thanks

For gaming at 2560 res, the graphic card you should be looking at is R9 290 or GTX780 (though some people have reported some performance issue due the GTX780 only having 3GB vram as oppose to 290's 4GB vram).

New Nvidia cards are coming though and should come with have 4GB vram as standard, though not sure how they compare to the 780/780Ti just yet.

WoW runs just about fine on my 750Ti at 4k, it does drop to ~45fps in busy cities.

Edit: I have the overclocked EVGA FTW 750Ti

I guess that would be the exception with WoW using an old graphics engine and being very cpu heavy.
I wonder how it would cope with WoD though.
