Hi guys
I've been asked by family to pick them a monitor as their current CRT is constantly making a high pitched squeal...it's awful!
They've given me a budget of up to £270 (obviously not hitting the limit if possible) and free reign...to be honest I've no idea as I haven't bought a monitor in ages, and when I do they have been Dell (last monitor was a 2707).
They aren't doing anything particually colour accurate (though they are coming from an Iiyama Vision Master CRT), so I do want to get a good screen, one that has a reputation for displaying some bad pixels is a no no.
It will be used almost exclusively for FPS gaming and probably movie watching including blu-ray.
The budget is up to £270.
What would you buy up to that price? I should note they aren't bothered about 3D.
Thanks!
