Which monitor

I am currently looking at a cheap (due to brand name) 22" monitor. It has the following specs:

Response Time 5ms
Contrast Ratio 1000:1
Brightness 300 cd/m²
Max. Resolution 1680 x 1050
View Angle:
Horizontal: 170°
Vertical: 160°

Only problem is, it uses your usual DB-15 analog connector. Now, if I were looking at a DVI connection for my monitor, I'd have to drop down in size, probably to a 19" (20" at a push - sticking to budget.)

Will there be a major difference between the VGA and DVI connections, leading me to the DVI 19", or should I go for the 22" VGA?

Just thought I'd make things a tad clearer. The 22" monitor is the Octigen 236617LNOTG (stupidly long name.) It seems to be perfect quality, but at a low price ;) Any foreseeable lack of quality using VGA over DVI? It seems like a nice monitor, but the VGA/DVI thing is bugging me.

If so, I guess I'd try get a 20" widescreen, in which case, could anyone recommend any?

22" #1, costs £155 inc VAT: http://www.octigen.com/products/productdetail.asp?Id=41&A=6&B=17&C=#

Seems nice, but at a cheap price. Worrying thing is it only has VGA input.

22" #2, costs £175 inc VAT: http://www.ciboxcorp.com/web/english/products/Monitor/C22WQ-e.htm#C22WQ

£20 more expensive, a drop of 300:1 contrast ratio, gains DVI-D and HDCP, and looks a bit uglier.

20" #1, costs £165 inc VAT: http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/monitors/lcd/wide/ls20hawcsqedc.asp

Drops 2" in size, and is £10 more expensive than the first 22". Loses 300:1 contrast ratio, but gains DVI and HDCP.

Which would you go for? I've no idea which should be the governing factor when buying an LCD: size, DVI/VGA, HDCP, contrast ratio or what? :)
