Which monitor?

Actually looking at a monitor myself at the moment and we seem to be looking for the same sort of thing!

Any idea how the LG stacks up against the samsung? At the moment I am deciding between the LG and the 23" samsung.

We have all sorts at work, mainly Samsung's and LG's. because they are dirt cheap, and actually pretty decent. There isn't much difference between those cheap LCDs, and they seem to do the job very well. They are all a bit flimsy, but you get what you pay for. Personally, I'd be looking at input lag, refresh rates, size, inputs (if you have a PS3, HDMI, ect...). There is a big visual gap between a 22'' and a 24''. My 24'' at home feels massive, and I have a Dell 22'' at work, feels much smaller.

The LG has a faster response time and seems to be very popular, but it might be nice to pay the £18 more for a 24".

Was hoping not to go above £150 though.

Hey, just got your message 47, and i am too tired/lazy to figure out how to reply properly. Just got me new pc with monitor today but still setting it up at the moment. Will leave a message in this thread when I have a good play with the new gear :D

Nice, which one did you go for?

Well I had a little play with my new computer now and I am glad I spent a bit more on the screen. Its quality is superb and great viewing angles. The slight red colour on the screens casing actually looks great. The screen size is 21.5 inches which is more than enough for myself, coming off using laptops for years but you might find it a bit small if your used to a 24 or 22 inch obviously.
