Which Monitor?

Hi, I've just spent the past few hours researching different monitors but still unsure. My budget isn't huge, I would spend up to £200 maximum but looking to spend as little as possible. I've seen a few nice TN screens like the BenQ RL2455HM but I'm kind of put off by the picture quality compared to the IPS screens.

What do you suggest? I mainly play games like Battlefield 4, Titanfall, FIFA15, GTA etc all online.

Would I be better to wait and buy a 120hz TN screen or what? I've heard the 120hz can be laggy'er and only really need it for 3D.

My current PC Specs are:
16GB Kingstom RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7770 Series (looking to update)
AMD fx(tm)-6300 six-core processor (looking to update)
2TB harddrive
ASUS M5a97r2.0 Motherboard

Kind Regards.

It's entirely up to you, 120hz is great for fast paced FPS games.

IPS is great for casual gamers who are not all that serious, extremely great for photo editing, watching films etc..

Pick what category you fall under.

It's down to personal experience and what you prefer, personally I've just received my new BenQ EW2440L yesterday which is AMVA panel so awesome blacks and contrast, very good colour quality and 178 178 viewing angle, flicker free ,my previous 24 inch was an Asus TN 2ms panel.

I do game online in FPS etc and have the AMA setting set to high for gaming which is very good in games even for 60Hz monitor, what it lacks in pure speed compared to 144Hz TN panels it makes up for in all other areas ie blacks, full 8 bit colours, viewing angles ,flicker free, blue light reduction etc, don't think I will ever go back to a TN panel ever again, btw this is not my first VA panel.

I do consider myself a serious gamer,ie game everyday for many hours.

Blacks are inky black that smoke any IPS panel IMHO.

Controls are touch sensitive type so no real butttons to push.
For the price its excellent value for money, mine came with both HDMI and VGA cables.

I hear you both, I suppose I'm not sure what category I fall under. I mean I do game a lot, mainly playing FIFA15/SAMP/Battlefield/Titanfall but I'm unsure I would notice a difference between 1-5ms?

I was hoping you guys would all be saying 'Choose an IPS it's way better' or vise versa! I don't really watch movies on the screen as I have a laptop for that but I do want my games to look amazing, both in colour and detail.

I think I may go for an IPS simply because after watching some youtube videos the TN looks so washed out compared to an IPS & I like my blacks to be black. What's the best IPS screen for around £150 and under? Any one recommend anything that will look super HD and nice?
