Which Motherboard Bundle?

So,

my son plays minecraft, his quad PC has died on him, as has the graphics card.

We've got a Antec 100 case, 700w power supply, and two SSD drives.

I was thinking of upgrading his PC with a motherboard bundle.

I can't reuse his 16gb Ram, so will start off with just 8gbs. Which of these two bundles, with are best value for money? I'm going to get him a separate graphics card. I'm leaning to Defcon 3i @ £332, and spending the extra on the graphic card. Not sure which one though.

DEFCON 3i - Gigabyte Z97P-D3 - Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.20GHz Overclocked Bundle -£332

or

OcUK Gaming
DEFCON 3s - Asus Z170-K - Intel Core i5 6600K @ 4.20GHz - Overclocked Skylake Bundle - £428

I'd like to keep every down to around £500 - £550. Any thoughts?

what speed is your ram; was going to say if its like ddr 2400; you could grab apu AMD and mb for fairly cheap and that will run mindcraft without any issues.

my son plays that on 7700k that's not oc yet......upgrading second system that plays mindcraft for his older sisters to 7670k from 6600k. its not the beefiest game; and those apu will play other games at better settings that intel's igpu

if you want to just get him back up cheaply; its a a possible way to go....

Either of the bundles I tested are perfect for your needs. I3 certainly enough for great performance in mine craft.
