which motherboard for my CPU

Evening all

recently bought a i5 6600K and im unsure what motherboard model I can slot this into... The guy I got it from had a Z170 board, is that the model I need or is there others available

thanks guys... Wasn't sure if the Z270 was alright.. What makes the newer boards not work with older CPU's?

In a phrase, Intel profiteering. ;) As proven it could have been possible for Intel to do this but much better for those concerned to have people have to purchase a new motherboard as well as upgrade the CPU.

bit of a pain when purchasing older gen CPU's and not knowing what's what.... But I suppose they have to do this to make money from products
