Which motherboard for this spec?

So I'm looking at getting the parts below, but have become stuck at the motherboard decision. I was looking at an Asus P5KC, as it supported DDR3 and thought it would be good for upgrading on, but it seems like the consensus is that there's better choices out there, and there's no point getting a DDR3 motherboard yet.

So, suggestions welcome. I'll be overclocking, and will be using this for photo editing as well as some gaming. I need firewire ports. If you could explain a little about why you recommend a board then that would be great :)

abit IP35, Asus P5K, Gigabyte P35-DS3P are all good.
the abit adds Intel matrix RAID over the Asus & the DS3P adds a 2nd physical x16 (electrical x4) PCI-E slot over the abit if that's a consideration.

So is the P5KC not the best choice then. What am I looking for really? If you were buying the parts I listed above, what would you get? I don't need wifi or anything, just a decent board that'll run well, and allow me to upgrade a bit in future, if possible :)

My mate just got a Pk5-E, but I don't need wifi. Although it does have crossfire support, which could be useful in the future. Which is the best for overclocking, and are there any that have any known problems?

Is the GA-P35-DS3P on overclockers revision 1 or 2? I can't work out. I also can't decide which motherboard to get overall, I keep finding reviews for and against all boards. Essentially I guess it comes down to:

Firewire
Number of USB ports
Overclocking potential

And of course reliability

Hi Gromm, I have a quick question as I'm looking to upgrade to a similar spec. You're going for the Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - Retail, just wondered why you have chosen 800Mhz RAM...

Or am I the one getting confused :s

doubt it ... but it doesn't have to.
Intel CPU 1333fsb is really 333 x4 so the RAM only has to run DDR2 667 (333x2) or faster.
