The only thing I will add back on topic is the size of the mouse is key to the player, I had a cordless at one time and its size was what shocked me the most. I like a small fairly neutral shape if I can get one but I have got used to the MX518

The MX518 is spray painted in a pearlescent paint so the "dents" move around.

(Btw. MX518 owner and don't have a single regret. )

518 mate, as far as im concerned its the perfect balance of comfort, buttons and response. It's the best all-rounder you could get him. just try to find complaints about them you made the right choice

MX518 Optical Mouse, been using this for quite some time now, awesome mouse and great comfort while gaming, a definate thumbs up from me!

I just bought the Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse about a month ago, and before that I had an MX610, and compared to that the MX1000 is the dogs danglies....

Would stay away from corded though, but thats my opinion, I found that the cord would get snagged on stuff, just as I was lining up my crosshairs....
