i use a computer pretty much all day at work and lately ive been getting a lot of hand and wrist pain. ive been using a cheap and nasty mouse which cant have helped.

can anyone recommend me a good mouse thats really comfortable and preferably helps prevent rsi. not really worried about the price as long as its not a crazy amount:p.

thanks in advance:)

You cannot beat the MX518 and you cannot beat Logitechs warranty, I just had a mx518 give me a few errors (just under 3yrs old) and after running a few tests from the logitech tech bods, they sent me a new one......top class support from them.

Most people seem to swear by that mouse but i dotn like the look of it so i ordered myself a razer deathadder yesterday, costs a little more though.
I would also highly recommend the microsoft habu, another brilliant mouse that is also made by razer.

is this common knowledge as the god of mice like?:p thanks, i will look at those right now:):)

Sorry to be so short earlier I had just got up & ache like **** from work :o

Anyways,
As far as I am concerned you just cannot buy better when it comes to a mouse & here's why.

1. Tracking is Perfect & the extra buttons are life savers in gaming & around the desktop, Also has on the fly adjustment which is Superb when it comes to switching between sniping & Assault.
2. Ultra reliable.
3. Uber cheap for what it is & what you get back.
4. 2nd to none after sales. Need new feet in a year then phone Logitech & they will send some for nowt.
5. I use one myself & have now for Ages, I have big hands & am a bit of a nutter type abuser user when it comes to my mouses what with all the mental FPS sessions I have. I game real hard & if the mouse does me it will do anybody.
6. Enjoy.

From my experience, posture is much more important at helping RSI than what peripherals you're using. Sit up straight and get a good chair :)

That is probably correct but the mouse is also important. I used to use the standard dell mouse at work and used to get some pain after a while and now have the MX518 and no more pain.

I use the MX518 at work and home. Brilliant mouse, especially if you have larger hands. At the current price is even more amazing (I paid about £30 for both of mine about a year ago).

What are the feet on it like? Im thinking of getting one for my work as im starting to hate this dell mouse more and more and it will be used on a wooden surface.....well that fake plastic wood you get on desks.

It will depend on which revision you get but the last one I ordered (about 8 months ago) was rev 03.

I have one rev 02 and one rev 03.

rev 02 - 5 small feet around the edges
rev 03 - 2 large feet (at top & bottom) and 1 small foot (at side) (Definitely better then rev 02)

It's a brilliant mouse. You won't be disappointed.:D

EDIT: They should all be revision 03 now. My rev 02 is about 15 months old.

Well i just ordered one for my work. £27 with 1st class, not a bad price. Im thinking if i prefer it to my Deathadder i can always swap them about. I also have a spare Razer cloth mouse mat at home i could bring into work if i really want to look dorky :D
